Clase Azul Ultra 1.750L, by Emilia Castillo

This exclusive, 1.75 liter edition of Clase Azul Ultra contains an extra-añejo tequila, produced using our special artisanal process and aged for 5 years in reclaimed sherry casks from Spain. The bottle itself was hand-crafted by Mazahua natives, a group of indigenous people in the small village of Santa María Canchesdá in Mexico state. The bottle's pure silver decoration was designed by Emilia Castillo, from Guerrero - an artist whose works have adorned the Vatican - and is recognized for her artisanal techniques of mixing silver and porcelain, in this case, fine ceramic. The bottle's cap is also a one-of-a-kind work of art, made from obsidian - a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed as an extrusive igneous rock. It is produced when lava extruded from a volcano cools rapidly with minimal crystal growth. Once crafted and polished by Mexican artisans, the cap's unique color and appearance may be highlighted under direct sunlight. And the final touches, a special .925 sterling silver medallion and a 24-carat gold label.
